Company strategy relating to Al- Amaken applies to a number of properties to be gradually disposed of, as far as possible, to realize the highest return to the Company.
Financial performance of the company improved compared to that of the last year; operating income increased by 150% (KD 0.3 million) to reach KD 0.1 million compared to a loss of KD 0.19 million in the last year.
In 2009, Al-Amaken sold a property under its real estate portfolio realizing a profit of KD 307 thousands. On the other side, company’s liabilities decreased by 58% following the full settlement of the Company’s obligations.
Al-Amaken has 5 projects on plots located in strategic locations in the industrial areas of distinctive marketing nature, providing service, commercial and administrative activities. During the year, the company completed construction of Amaken Center (retail and administrative) on the plots invested by the Company
